DGP Intelsius were contracted by a company called Marken, who are the leading company in the world for Direct to Patient services and biological sample shipments. They were looking for a company to design their latest flagship product range, two sizes of a very rugged, highly insulated, pharma shipper that could incorporate a location tracking logger and could send live temperature and location data anywhere in the world. This multi-million-pound contract was the largest contracted design project the business had landed in its 20 year history, and I had been appointed Design Lead, a first for me in my professional career.

 It was a great opportunity to for me to demonstrate my capabilities and skills to the business on such a complex and vital project, I believe it also shows an incredible amount of faith from the business in me to be able to accomplish this monumental project, for which I am very thankful for.  The business partnered with an Italian Injection moulding company who provided technical insights into the limitations of the injection moulding and what they were able to do. Taking those insights on board I was able to design the two system sizes side by side at the same time, ensuring that the two systems had identical features and dimensional consistencies. were able to design a system that outperformed what we had set out to achieve, a major win for the company. The client was so impressed with the initial manufacturing samples, they began placing larger orders before the first shipment had even been assembled and completed.
